Our Purchase Policy and Procedure

Customers may purchase works of art from our current gallery. All of the prices listed will be verified on the order form and confirmed with the order confirmation. Any inadvertent errors in listed prices will be corrected as quickly as possible and reconfirmed with the customer. Canadian Decorative Art will provide a listing of charges added to the base price outlining various taxes, duties, shipping and handling charges required for the transaction.

Privacy Policy
Customers may use our convenient order form to select their purchases and may then e-mail, telephone, fax or mail their order to us. The information collected on the order form will be used by CDA to complete the transaction. Unless otherwise requested, CDA will add this information to our customer database.

When the completed purchase order has been received by CDA the requested work of art will have a "sold" sign placed on it. Any additional orders will be held pending the completion of the transaction. The order will be confirmed and the processing of payment will take place.

Immediately following the completion of the payment transaction, the art work will be inspected for insurance purposes, packed securely with appropriate documentation and shipped to the purchaser at the address provided on the order form. The shipping will be expedited and the customer can expect to receive the art within two to three business days. A tracking number will be provided for the customer.

All payment transactions will be verified with the appropriate financial institution at the time of purchase. CDA will contact the customer if there is a problem in verifying any of the information. When paying with a credit card, the cardholder will fax/send a copy of the cardholder's signature with the number to assist in verifying the authenticity of the cardholder. All payments are deposited to a trust account until the transaction has been completed.

Customers are requested to keep all of the documentation and original packaging for the art if there is a need to return the art.

The artwork purchased is the original work of the artist as described on our gallery page. The artist retains copyright for the intellectual property of the created work of art. No reproduction, in any manner, is permitted without a written contractual arrangement with the artist who created the art. Any person wishing to enter into a contractual agreement to reproduce the artwork should contact CDA to comply with copyright.

Our Returns Policy

Canadian Decorative Art wants you to be happy with the artwork you have selected. You may choose to return the art within 48 hours of delivery provided you contact us for the appropriate paperwork and repackage the artwork in the same package in which it was sent to you. The art must be insured and will be returned to CDA by the same courier service used in the delivery. The cost of the insurance and the shipping will be deducted from the original payment and the remainder will be returned to the purchaser forthwith, provided the artwork is returned in good condition.
